Hello, and thanks for stopping in! This website is dedicated to the pursuit of CARMACK genealogical research. This site is primarily focused on the CARMACK DNA Project, Surname Mailing List, Message Query Boards, Social Media, and Search assistance.
The following is a summary of the CARMACK DNA Project, Surname Mailing List, Message Query Boards, and Search assistance. More detailed information on these can be found by clicking on the link in the left-hand column of this page.
Y-DNA testing helps you trace your paternal ancestry using a largest Y-DNA database to compare against. Since the Y chromosome is passed almost unchanged from father to son y-DNA can be used to prove or disprove lineage and, when compared to the DNA of a cousin, to possibly trace back to (or identify) a Most Recent Common Ancestor.
The objective of the Carmack DNA Project is to match up individuals or families who share a common male ancestor of the CARMACK surname.

It's no secret or surprise that the biggest strength of the Internet is people helping other people. For the CARMACK surname and its variants, there is one mailing list that I know of:
This is the main mailing list for CARMACK research. You can get basic info about it at RootsWeb, but to subscribe, just send an email to mailto:[email protected]?SUBJECT=subscribe(or, if you prefer the digest version, mailto:[email protected]?SUBJECT=subscribe) with the word "subscribe" in the body of the message. That's all there is to it.
Message Query Boards
There is a Carmack Cousins group on Facebook
RootsWeb provides a link to everything CARMACK at their site (and conveniently pre-filled-in search engines)
