There were eight marriages between the Fitch, Fitzpatrick, and Patrick families and the Caudill and Caudill related families.

Five of Charles P. Fitch’s children married Caudill and Caudill related people.

1.  Phoebe Fitzpatrick m John Caudill, my grandfather, 1844.

2.  Mary “Polly” Fitzpatrick m James Calvin Caudill, a brother to John, in 1846.  Phoebe and Mary were sisters.  Brothers m sisters.

3.  Lloyd Fitch m Gypsie Marie Daniel, my niece, 1942.  Lloyd’s grandmas was a Caudill, Gypsie’s grandma was a Caudill.

4.  Homer Fitch m Sarah Stambaugh, my niece, a daughter of my sister Alifair.

7.  Eula Fitch m Otto Burchett, my nephew, a son of my sister Alta.  Eula and Otto m in 1943.

10. Nancy Ellen Caudill, my sister, m Haskell McKenzie in 1920.  Nancy’s Aunt Martha Caudill, sister to her father m Haskell’s Uncle Lafe Chandler.

11. Otto Burchett’s aunt m Eula’s Uncle Chilt Ross.

12. Dave Ross, born in the early 1800s, m DeLila Caudill.  Their daughter was Otto Burchett’s mother-on-law.  Their son was Otto’s mother’s brother-in-law.

13. Sarah Stambaugh m Homer Fitch.  Sarah’s aunt m Homer’s uncle.  That made Sarah’s aunt Homer’s grandmother’s daughter-in-law.

14. Rev Flem Arrowood’s grandfather was Rev. James Kelly’s father’s brother-in-law.

15. Flem Arrowood’s Grandfather had 14 children in two marriages.  Three of his children and Ernest Burchett are first cousins.

16. Rev. Willie Daniel and Elza Caudill were first cousins.  Willie m Elza’s sister Julia, but Willie and Julia were not related.

19. Two of Ben Stambaugh’s aunts m two of his first cousins.  1. Malta Caudill m Norris Stambaugh.  2. Amanda Caudill m Luther Stambaugh.

20. Three Stambaugh men m three Caudill sisters.  The 3 sisters were Henry Morris Caudill’s aunts.  Will m Alafair; Luther m Amanda; Norris m Malta.

21. Thomas J. Stambaugh m Geneva Caudill’s great aunt.  Thomas m Alifair Daniel, a sister to Luther G. Daniel, Geneva’s grandfather.

23. Geneva Caudill’s mother and Flem Arrowood were first Cousins.  Flem’s mother was Mary Jane Daniel who m Andrew Jackson Arrowood, a son of George and Samantha (Dillingham) Arrowood.

24. William Gunderson Hoover Stambaugh, better known as Will, m Alifair Caudil; Will’s brother, Thomas J. Stambaugh’s son Luther m Alifair’s sister, Amanda; Will’s brother Isaac Walker’s son Norris Stambaugh m Alifair’s sister Malta Caudill.
