Marilyn J. Breakey has extensively researched the family of Breakeys for nearly twenty years, and with retirement now an actuality she begins the task of compiling numerous family trees, and disseminating long promised articles in her possession.

A descendant of Governor William Bradford of the Plymouth Colony, and descendant of four Revolutionary War Veterans, Ms. Breakey is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a past member of the New England Historic and Genealogical Society.  An outdoor enthusiast, she is also a member of the Adirondack Mountain Club, and the Finger Lakes Trail Conference in which she holds the distinction of “End-to-Ender #58” for having hiked the entire FLT totaling nearly 600 miles.  Her walking/hiking has led her to complete over 1300 miles at the nearby Beaver Lake Nature Center, as well as having hiked shorter portions of the Appalachian Trail and The Long Path of New York State.

My mother’s favorite comment:  “I have more interests than time!”
