[1] “Records of Baptisms of Breakey Children,” copied by Nettie C. Breakey from “A Registry of Children Baptised by John H. Morell who was Ordained to the Charge of the Second Presbyterian Congregation of Ballybay, July 2nd, 1834.”  This Registry of Baptisms is presently, May 22, 1968, in the possession of the Rev. David Nesbitt, First Presbyterian Church, Ballybay.

[2] Does this mean that Sarah Breakey, wife of Samuel Knox, had died between June 22, 1856, and April 26, 1857?  EPB.

[3] Transcriber’s note: Sarah Breakey, b. 1814, daughter of William & Martha Mitchell Breakey (Balladian lineage), was married to Matthew Harper.  Records also indicate Sarah Breakey Harper married Samuel Knox on 22 April 1846 in the Parish of Ballybay, Ireland.

[4] Twins.

[5] These children, born in Pioche, Nevada, USA, returned to Ballybay and were baptised on 30 Oct. 1890.

[6] Letitia Jane, born 5 months later [following the 1890 trip to Ireland], returned as a 10-year old child to be baptised on May 6, 1901.
