Miller, Albert And Hetty
Albert Miller was born in Wayne County, KY, on August 23, 1900. He is the son of Dave Miller and Sylvania Phillips Miller, who was also born in Wayne County, KY.
Albert has one sister May Jones, who recently moved to Jamestown, TN, from Wayne County, KY.
Albert married Hetty Dishmon, who was born July 20, 1904 in Wayne County, KY. She is the daughter of Branford Dishmon and Mendy Owens Dishmon.
Albert and Hetty were married on January 20, 1921 in Wayne County, KY. They moved to Fentress County, TN, in 1923.
Albert worked for Steams Coal and Lumber Company from 1931 to 1952. At one time when he was working at a sawmill, he had to walk 6 miles to work every day except Sunday.
Albert was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jamestown. He also worked at York Institute from 1954 until his retirement in 1967.
Albert died December 14, 1981. He was buried in Taylor Place Cemetery in Jamestown.
His wife, Hetty, still lives in Jamestown. Their children still living are: Velma Delk, Onie Cope, Myrl Monroe, Hilda Beal, Rachel Miller, and Barbara Beaty. Their only son, Willard Miller died in 1979.
