We have a xeroxed copy of the 1890 U.S Census for Ascension Parish, LA in the Fourth Ward. This was courtesy of Mrs. Rita B. Butler, who had seen our request for information in the LA Ancestors column of the Sunday Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA newspaper).

On page 65, card # 514 and 515 are , age 29, (not Harry Cahn) and Lavinia, age 24, and 2 children, Joseph and Olivia, ages 3 and 1.
On page 70, card #554 are Jackson Francis, age 56, and Lena, age 30, and 2 children, Mack and Jack, ages 14 and 15. Also on this page is listed Lawrence Lotten, age 23 (Lavinia's brother).
