Arsenius teacher of kings 1650 Anchorite; born 354, at Rome; died 450, at Troe, in Egypt. Theodosius the Great having requested the Emperor Gratian and Pope Damasus to find him in the West a tutor for his son Arcadius, they made choice of Arsenius, a man well read in Greek literature, member of a noble Roman family, and said to have been a deacon of the Roman Church.
DAR Newberry 1650 Edward Boykin was born in Huntingdon, England, ABT. 1650. He married Ann Gwaltney 1675 and died on the Isle of Wight, Virginia. There were 3 children: Edward Jr., William, and Burwell, born on the Isle of Wight.

1880 Census Vol 4;  ED 47; Sheet 21; Line 1 First Discovered Record of this Boykin family. Abt.1850 "Ike" BOYKIN was born about 1850 in AL. Married Susan There were 6 children: Mary F. 11, Josephine 9, Effen 8, Ike Jr. 4, George 2 and an Infant 2/12.  "Ike" is the first known instance of our BOYKIN family.
1920 Census Vol 218;  ED 144; Sheet 8; Line 2 Abt.1873 "Ike" BOYKIN Jr. was born about 1873 in MS. Married Lucy CANNON, born 1880.. There were 3 children:  Arsenius, Willa Rose, Anna (born 1904 )  
  1. Estres and Machie Rankin were roomers, and
  2. Ishmail Thames was a border at 1817 Bond Avenue East St. Louis Illinois
