Me Myself: Jesse KUYKENDALL, a farmer boy or laborer.
Born: 31 Dec. 1848
Place: Morgantown, Butler County, KY
Pre Emancipation: Jesse KUYKENDALL Declaration for
Dependent Mother's Pension:
Jesse is Betty's paternal great uncle
A former slave owned by John Kuykendall and his family.
My mother, Dilsie Kuykendall applied for Army pension (claim No. 276.384)
following my death. These are her statements of July 21, 1880.
When Dilsie was freed, she was left without a dollar and that
she is now 67 years of age and is of feeble health. She had every
reason to fondly hope that I would have been her comfort and support
in her old age and widowhood.
