LANE, Frederick C.
Seeking the descendants of Frederick C. Lane b April, 1850 in Ohio. m Dec. 31, 1870 in Logan County, OH. In 1900 census of New Haven, CT, he is listed as Fred H. Lane. He was married to Mary Cecilia Pollock, b June 1849 in Logan County, OH. They started out together in Logan County, OH, but eventually moved to Connecticut. Known children:
1-William P. Lane b March, 1872 in Logan Co., OH.
2- Bessie C. Lane b March 1876 in Ohio.
3- Fred P. Lane b May, 1879 in New York.
4- Leavitt J. Lane b Sep., 1884 in Connecticut.

LANE, Arthur Weldon
Arthur Weldon Lane b. July 7, 1877 and m. Dovie P. Carter in Henry Co. Ga in 1898. I beleive his father was Philip Lane. No other information known. I have hit the brick wall on this one and need help.

I have been searching for records including my ggrandfather, James Monroe LANE and his wife Elizabeth SHERWOOD ( She may have been married before). My gfather, Erclie LANE was born May 9, 1895, Where? He married my gmother Lela Lillian Lorene ATKINS, May 28, 1919. His nickname was "PAD", I have his Social Secruity Number. All that office has is his birth date. There is no Birth Certificate on file, and the Veteran Records before 1973 have been destroyed by fire. He died in the VA Hospital in Nashville, TN January 4, 1960. He was in the Infantry, and was wounded shortly after arriving overseas. He lived in Ashville, NC. His first child was born there and was either stillborn or lived only a day or so. My Father Spencer Moore LANE was born in Murfreesboro, TN October 30, 1923. Every Avenue I try has a tremendous road block in the way. Thanks for any help you can offer me. DLMARTIN

LANE, Shadrach
Born circa 1780, probably in North Carolina, but possibly VA. Had brothers Samuel and Robert, with whom he emigrated in the early 1800s to Clermont County, Ohio. Shadrach married and had children Samuel, John, Elizabeth, Sarah, and Rebecca. Two of the daughters married into the TEAL family. One married a DIAL. In the family plot is also a woman, old enough to be Shadrach's mother, named Aramina LANE. Who are Shadrach's parents? Where did he come from? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!

John worked for while as US Marshal is only thing I know that may have gov't record.
His father was:
Samuel LANE b? d? m. Elizabeth THORNTEN? #! then an Indian (Nat.Am.) that left later? Not sure where this info came from.Also served in Union Army as Capt.(?) He also lived at one time or was born in TN, according to John F.(son). Sibs' of John unknown except that either John or Mary had sister married to a Judge BROWN (or BRAUN) as he performed the marriage of John Calvin and Fannie STEVENSON.
Mary's Parents were from Germany (possibly via SanFran., CA) but she was supposed to have been born on the way to the land rush in OK. Their b/d dates are unknown but names: Andrew and Samantha (nee?) BRIGGS. Andrew was said to have come here with his brother, James.

This is as far as I've been able to get, especially as family keeps growing in other directions and trying to track them down as well. I would be most grateful for any info as I know anyone else would be too!!

Margaret: Grandson Bill Hicks gave us Margaret's Full name, Margaret Lenora Roxanah Elizabeth Whatley. He said she was full blooded Cherokee Indian. We don't doubt that Margaret was a Cherokee, but we doubt she was full blooded.

Searching for information on my Great Grandfather.
My Grandfather was JOHN DUDLEY LANE, born 1898 in Arkansas. He married Lela Estelle Buffington about 1919. They lived during the 1920's and 1930's in BENTON, ARKANSAS.
No information is known regarding JOHN DUDLEY LANE's father other then that he was born in Arkansas. Children of JOHN DUDLEY LANE and Lela Estelle Buffington were:

He lived in Chicago with his wife Margaret GLEASON and their 4 children (Lillian, Francis, Earl and Walter). His parents were Dennis LANE and Elizabeth SULLIVAN.
