WILL Of JOHN LANE

Executed 20 March 1800, proved March Term 1801

Craven Co., NC; will Book B, p. 56

In the name of God Amen I give my soul to God who gave it and my Body to the Grave this being my last will and teseament being in my perfect sensis but weakened of body.

Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife all of land her heirs and assigns forever.

Also I give unto my beloved wife all of my other property of all sorts during her natural life or widowhood and then to be equally divided amoung all my children Mary, Avy, Sarah, Daniel, John and Ann- this being my last will and disannulling all others.

I leave my wife Ann Lane my whole soul Exetric.

This was aforegoing last Will & Testament of John Lane decd proved in Open Court by the oaths of David Lane one of the subscribing witnessess thereto and Ordered to be recorded, at the same time Ann Lane Exr therein named Qualified as said, Ordered that Letters Testamentary issue.
