Charles LANE applied for Letters and Administration on the estate of Jesse dec'd and citation was issued the 5th day of October 1812.

Know all men by those prosutes that we Charles LANE, White ROSSITER and Moses Herring are held and firmily bound unto their Honors the Judges of the Court of Ordinary for said County and their successors in office in the Just sum of five thousand dollars for the payment of which sum to the said Judges and their successors we beid ourselves our Heirs Executors and Admistrators in the whole & for the whole sum Jointly and severally firm by these presuits sealed with our seals & dated this fourth day of Jany 1813.

The conditions of the above obligation is suale that if the above bound Charles LANE, Administrator of the Goods Chattals and Credits of Jesse LANE Late deceased do make a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the Goods Chattals and Credits of the said deceased which have or shall come to the hands or possession of said Charles LANE or into the hands or possession of any others person or persons for him and the same is made do Exhibit in to the said court of Ordinary where he shall be thereto required and ___ good Chattals and Credits do well and truely administer accordingly to ____ out do ___ Just accordingly to his ____ and doing _____ when he shall be thereunto bequeathed by the Court of O_____ said County and all the rest of the goods Chattals and Credits which shall be found remaining taken the account of the said ad____ _____ the same being first allowed of by said Court shall deliver and pay to such person or persons respectively as are intittled to the same ___ the Executors obtain Certificate of the Probate thereof and the said Charles LANE do in such case if required rec__er and deleiver up said Letters of Administration then this obligation to be null and void.

This indenture made the twntieth day of September Eighteen hundred & two between Jesse LANE Senr, of the County of Jackson of the one part & Joseph LANE of the County of Clark & both of the State of Georgia of the other part , witnessed that the said Jesse for and in consideration of the sum of six Hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Joseph LANE the receipt whereof is duly acknowledged have granted bargained sold and released & confirmed by these presents doth grant bargain sell release & confirm unto the said Joseph LANE his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing bye a survey five hundred and seventy six acres the grant calling for only three hundred acres for the same more or less originally granted to Jesse LANE on the 12th of Oct. 1785.

Bordering, Viz: Beginning on the north fork of the Oce__ee River are a Post Oak hence S 3(2) Wst 25 __ G&B Oak S 25 ch ____ branch ___ of the branch to a peice S 30 W 6 1/2 chs Post Oak S __ E. 61 chs 35 (Links) to a pine N 30 E 52 chs 44 (links) to a Hickory corner on the river thence up the river to the beginning to have & to hold the said tract or parcel of Land together with all and singular the premisis with all appurtenances thereunto belonging or its anywise appertaining in fee simple to the said Joseph LANE, his Heirs & assigns forever and the Jesse LANE for himself his heirs Executors & Administrators doth warrant & will forever defered the said tract or parcel of Land from every other person or persons unto the said Joseph LANE his Heirs & assigns forever.
