Below is some info. first naming 12 children...and then followed by the will ofmy ggg-gf ...William Lane of Maury Co.TN. 1848...I list their children first...including Thomas C. Lane and Mary A.Humphries who are my gg-gp's who moved to AR. CO.AR. in the 1850's .

This is my line and I believe they connect to the Wm.Carr Line...I also believe this William's father was named Wm. also...this line I believe came from VA. to maybe NC then to Knox Co.KY. then to Maury Co. TN. their children are as follows...

Will of William Lane Died 1848 Maury Co. TN


We Thomas C. Lane and Francis Blanton do state that the ________? Will of William Lane was made by him on the 14th of February 1848 in our presence to which we were specially requested to bear witness by the testator himself in the presence of each other that it was made in his last sickness in his own habitation or dwelling house. And the same is asfollows to wit: It was his will and desire that a part of his effects should be disposed of after his demise in the following manner.
First to his dearly beloved wife Winneford he gave the following articles to wit: Two Negro men, Jim aged about 59 years and Anthony aged about 35 years. Also two Negro women Din aged about 45 years and Vilet aged about 42 years. Also all the gold he had on hand amounting to $332.45 cts. Also the mansionhouse and adjoining lands including all the out houses, springs and woods and cleared land, amounting in all to 252 acres, all of which she is to have and to hold during her natural life ! And at her death to be equally divided amongst all the heirs, share and share alike and Thomas C. Lane was appointed executor by him. Made out by us and signed this the 13 day of March 1848.
