of Ellerslie, Glasgow, PEI, Canada
Prior to 1914, Daniel, came from Ellerslie, Glasgow, PEI,
Canada to work for the Oxford Paper Company, at Rumford, Maine, and
settled at the lower end of Waldo Street. After marriage, he removed to
the South Rumford area of town.
About 1919, at the age of 76, his father, Michael Otis Bryant,
came to town to live with him. In 1931, at the age of 88, Michael and
wife Florence, age 75, went to live with their son, David, in Melrose,
Ma. There for about 2 years, before returning to this area, to live
with their daughter, Mrs. Clayton (Ada) Hayes, Gleason Street, Mexico,
Me., where he died, 2 months after his arrival back in Mexico.
Michael Otis was a Ship Caulker by trade, and his obit said
that he was once a former Sea Captain.
