From "The Search for our Ralston Ancestors in Pennsylvania (before 1800)" by Mrs. Raymond Ralston, Route 1, Box 385, Slippery Rock, PA 16057 The founder of the Ralston-Purina Company was Professor Albert Webster Edgerly. The original company name was The Robinson-Danforth Commission Company, renamed in 1902. Prof. Edgerly had a Ralston Health Club and the Ralston magazine which had to do with proper diet and health. No one knows where he got the name Ralston. He has no connection with the Ralston family.

At the time of his death, the property owned in Newaygo County, MI, by John M. Rolstone was: the South half of the NorthWest quarter of Section 14, Town 16 North of Range 11 West, according to the Probate documents filed in Probate Court March 25, 1886. [Src.: Newaygo Co. MI Court Records] Nancy: Laura Rolstone Bloxsom's handwritten note gives Nancy's birth date as July 21 1820. Birth date shown calculated from age given on death certificate. Children of John and Nancy are listed (1) in Laura Etta's handwritten note, (2) in US Census records and (3) in Deed transferring title of Nancy's house to Laura Etta and Thomas Bloxsom from siblings.
