Francis Excelsior4 Farr (Francis Edward3 Farr, Edward Henry2 Wildey, Thomas1) was born 27 June 1893 in Syracuse, Onondaga Co. NY at the family home at 116 White St. [1]
On 30 December 1918 he married Gertrude M. Holden in Rochester, Monroe Co. NY. Although Frank was a resident of Syracuse, Gertrude was from Rochester, where she was working as an inspector. Frank may have been in Rochester with the Marine Corps, in which he served during WWI. Gertrude was born in Rochester, the daughter of Thomas Holden and Getrude Latz. [2]
Frank and his new bride settled in Rochester, where he was working as a machinist in a foundry in 1920. [3]
He later worked at the Gleason Works in Rochester until his retirement in 1960. He moved to Florida in 1970 and returned to live with his daughter in Avon, Livingston Co. NY shortly before his death. [4]He passed away on 9 October 1995 at the remarkable age of 102. [5]Francis Excelsior Farr and Gertrude Holden had the following children:
