Luther (Sidney?) NEWTON [2]
  On Oct. 18, 1837, Luther purchases land in Steuban Co (see Steuban Co deed
  book 30, pg 436).  He is living in New Lisben, Ostego Co NY at the time.
  According to another deed (Steuban Co NY deed book 40, pg 180-181), Luther is
  living in Addison, Steuban Co NY on January 06, 1844.  The second deed sells
  the land mentioned in the first deed but they hold the mortgage.
 
  On July 28, 1845, Luther and Abigail G., his wife, are living in Addison,
  Steuban Co NY, and they finish collecting on the mortgage and transfer the
  property according to deed book 42, pg 110.
 
Abigail Carr [3]
  Luther was her second husband.  I suspect her first husband's last name started
  with a "C" since this abreviation is on several census's and on a couple of
  deeds.  Several census's state that this was the second marraige for both
  Luther and Abigail.  A gap in the age of the children supports this as well.
 
Caleb Carr [12]
  Married 3 times.  Only known children with 1st and 3rd wifes.  Marraige to
  second wife was about 1795.
