POLLY ANN SMEETON SERVICES
Mrs. Polly Ann Smeeton, age 90, of 221 Walnut Street,
Slater, died April 20, at the Sweet Springs Caring Center in Sweet
Springs.
Services were held Monday, April 22, at 2:00 p.m. at the Braun
Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Taylor officiating. Organist was
Frances Brame. Pallbearers were Frank Markovich, Allen Soper,
David Butler, Jim Vinyard, Jim Mendenhall and T.M. Gilliam. Burial
was in the Slater City Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday evening
at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smeeton was born November 29, 1894 in Saline county, the
daughter of Nancy Frances Brown and Lloyd Goodwin Thomson. She
was married to Clarence Smeeton in Slater on September 28, 1916
and he passed away on July 7, 1978.
Surviving is one son, Cleo Clarence Smeeton of Danville, Ind.;
and three daughters, Lois F. Johnson and Loid A. Vinyard of Marshall
and Geraldine R. Coleman of Slater; nine grandchildren and eight
great grandchildren.
