He married Phoebe Young in Kakiat, 30 Jan 1802. (Phoebe Young is #469.) Phoebe was born in Paramus, Bergen, Nj 6 Apr 1766. Phoebe was the daughter of Hendrick Young and Annatje Osborn. I would guess that perhaps Jacobus doesn't belong in that particular Shuart family (since his baptismal record doesn't list his mother's name, perhaps he was the son of a different Adolphus). I've gone back to the printed baptismal records of Paramus church, and both the Jacobus and Daniel entries give as the father "Adolph Stuart." While I know that the Shuart surname was occasionally written (or misread) as "Stuart," this makes fitting those two sons into the family worth a second look. (These "Stuart" listing, by the way, are grouped, in the index, with "Shart" and the rest of the Shart surname variations.) The Daniel entry does list a mother -- Aaltje -- with a question mark. So Jacobus and possibly Daniel, possibly belong to a totally different family, and at the very least, need some other supporting evidence to put them into this family. Sorry! I haven't analyzed naming patterns in the Shuart family, but if they adopted the practice of naming children after grandparents, I would have expected to see a William early on in that bunch of kids.
