249. John⁹ Foshay (Pierre¹⁰) (#306) was born in Philipsburgh, Orange, Ny. John died 1782/1783 in Harrington Twp, Bergen, Nj.

He married twice. He married Catherine Waldron. (Catherine Waldron is #307.) Catherine is the daughter of Barent Waldron and Jannetie Meynderts. She was christened 25 May 1698. He married Elizabeth Sitcher 17 Nov 1772. (Elizabeth Sitcher is #310.)

He was christened 25 Mar 1706. per "Foshay Family of Philipse Manor", New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, v.188 n.3 (July 1987), pp.158-159. I [Bruce Hamilton] assume the "Phillipsburg" is the one in NY near Goshen, not the one in NJ. Baptised as Jan.

251 ii. Barent Foshay (#315). Barent died 1805. He married Fransyntye Blauvelt. (Fransyntye Blauvelt is #316.) Fransyntye is the daughter of Arie Blauvelt and Janetie Van Horn. She was christened 4 May 1740.
