May 3, 1659, Berlicum, near Den Bosch, North Brabant), son of David Ackerman (b. Oss, Nord Brabant) and Lysbeth Bellier, the immigrants (1662, with their 4 sons, and 1 dau). She had l. Bedford, LI and he b. at NYC, l. Bedford. They moved first to Bergen, then to Hackensack (1696). He owned a tract, south of his bro Lawrence, from the Hackensack River to the Saddle River (now Woodbridge and Hasbrouck Heights, NJ). One of his desc (Abraham A. Ackerman) still (1905) owns a large portion of the land at Woodbridge, and l in a house just east of where their house stood. He also built a house in Hackensack, on Essex St (standing 1946).
