34. Maria⁵ Shuart (John Y⁶, Adolphus⁷, Hendrick⁸, Adolphus⁹, Olvert¹⁰ Sjoert, Sjourt¹¹ Olphertsen) (#113) was born in Nj 21 Feb 1839. Maria died 22 Jan 1892 in Spring Valley, Rockland, Ny, at 52 years of age. Her body was interred 25 Jan 1892 in Summit Park Cem, Rockland, Ny.

She married Robert Hamilton 24 Feb 1859. (Robert Hamilton is #23.) Robert was born in Law Of Mauldslie, Carluke, Lks, Sct 21 Nov 1831. Robert was the son of James Hamilton and Isabella Gilchrist. Robert died 28 Nov 1907 in Summit Park, Rockland, Ny, at 76 years of age. His body was interred 1 Dec 1907 in Summit Park Cem, Rockland, Ny. He was christened in Carluke, Lks, Sct, 8 Dec 1831. (See Robert Hamilton for the children resulting from this marriage.) 1880 census: Ramapo Township, Rockland Co, NY. v.86 e.d.57 p.4 l.29 says both her parents born in New Jersey. She was keeping house. NOTE: I (Bruce Hamilton 7 Jul 1996) vaguely recall that her maiden name was Winters. !DEATH: from 1944 typescript of loose sheets in Shuart Bible by Alice E. Maria Shuart to Robert Hamilton- Feb.24-1859" Bruce Hamilton Jul 1996 recalls oral tradition that she was related to Helen M.
