George Wisel was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. As of 2021, there are no sources to confirm his parents. It's possible his father was 1732 immigrant Frederick Wisel/Wyssell/Wyssel who was a passenger on the ship along with Michael Weisel (1690-1770) and his wife Sussana. Michael does not name Frederick as a son in his will, but refers only to "my eldest son".
In the absence of court or church records indicating his father, it will be necessary for a male descendant to take a Y-DNA test at familytreedna.com. Refer to the "Weisel Group Project" for more information on Y-DNA surname testing.
Two sources support Frederick in Bucks Co. in the middle 1700s.
George resided in Richland Township, Bucks County 1784. In 1789 he was a resident of Bedford Township, Bedford County, Pennsylvania. After 1800 he was a resident at Conemaugh Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania. He died January 1850 and was buried in Cambria County.
