Rachel BARTLETT, ninth daughter and tenth child of Nicholas BARTLETT and Mary MARTIN,^1,2 was born circa 1790 in Tennessee.³ She married _____ HUTSON ⁴ and _____ ALL.⁵

She was not mentioned in her father's will, perhaps because he believed her first husband, Mr. Hutson, a very wealthy man who owned several plantations, would adequately provide for her. She had no children with Mr. Hutson, who was killed by one of his slaves, and it is not known whether she had children with her second husband. She lived in Alabama.⁶
