Mary BARTLETT, eighth daughter and ninth child of Nicholas BARTLETT and Mary MARTIN,^1,2 was born circa 1789 in Tennessee.³ She married Solomon PEARCE, son of Jeremiah PEARCE and Deborah BROUWER, in Tennessee.⁴ She died in Shakertown (South Union), Logan County, Kentucky.

They moved to Illinois soon after their marriage and later settled near Eddyville, Wapello County, Iowa. After Solomon died in Montgomery County, Illinois, Mary moved to Shakertown, Kentucky, where it is believed that she died.⁵

Solomon PEARCE^6,7 was born in Virginia.⁸ He died in Montgomery County, Illinois.⁹
