Lydia BARTLETT, fourth daughter and fifth child of Nicholas BARTLETT and Mary MARTIN,1,2 was born in 1779 in Virginia.3 She married _____ _____4 and _____ SITTON.5
The name of her first husband, with whom she lived in Tennessee, is unknown. "He was a politician, and he got into an altercation of some kind, presumably over politics, the details of the dispute were never known, but during the wrangle he was stabbed to death." She and her second husband, Mr. SITTON, lived in Illinois. It is not known whether she had children of her first marriage; she had none of her second.6
