Hannah Bartlett

Hannah ('Lovey' or 'Fannie') BARTLETT, third daughter and third child of Nicholas BARTLETT and Mary MARTIN,1,2 was born in 1772 in Virginia.3 She married George Washington TEAS in Tennessee.4 She died in 1834 in Des Moines County, Iowa.5

They moved to Southern Illinois after living in Tennessee for a few years. He preempted land in Madison County, Illinois in 1813, apparently lived there when he entered service in the War of 1812, and died in Schuyler County, Illinois in 1830. She moved to Des Moines County, Iowa, probably after his death.6

George Washington TEAS died on 6 Aug 1830 in Schuyler County, Illinois.7 He and his oldest son, Joseph Bartlett TEAS, served in Capt. Samuel Judy's and Capt. Samuel Whiteside's mounted militia in the War of 1812, from Madison County, Illinois.8
