Samuel Christy was Agatha and Julius's youngest child. He was born twelve years later than his nearest sibling. Any doubt that he was their son is erased by Julius' will, wherein Julius refers to "my son Samuel Christy." Samuel was the only child born after the move to the Greenbrier County. It is possible that other children were born who did not live to adulthood.
Samuel was about six years old when the family moved to Kentucky. They lived first in Woodford County, and then their area became Scott County.
In the year 1803 Julius Christy is making new arrangements. He writes his will. He disposes of property, some to Samuel and some to James. I believe it is at this time that he and Agatha move to Clark County Kentucky to live with their son John Christy.
In 1805 Samuel married, on the 11th. of April, Mary "Polly" Day. Polly was a daughter of Truman and Mary Saunders Day. Truman Day was born 11th. February 1864 and died 17th. February 1855. [Transcriber's note: This is obviously an error, but we don't know the correct information. If you do, please send it!!] He served in the 58th. regiment of the Kentucky Militia. His second wife was Catherine Williams. He married Catherine the 30th. of December 1811. Truman Day is buried in Eden Chapel cemetery. His will is recorded in Fleming County Will Book 1, page 481. Mary Saunders Day was a daughter of James Saunders, Sr. and his wife Elizabeth.
Samuel and Polly Day Christy began their married life in Fleming County Kentucky and then they moved to Boone County Kentucky. Samuel was a shoe and boot maker. The family was in Decatur County Indiana in the 1820's an then, briefly, in Clark County Kentucky.

This deed's text is on page 8 (chapter 1) of this collection. It is a Bill of Sale of personal property from Julius Christy to Samuel Christy.
BOONE COUNTY KENTUCKY, DEED BOOK C, PAGE 340:
26TH. DECEMBER 1812
"Between Samuel Christy, shoe and boot maker of the County of Boone, town of Wilmington, and Willis White of same. White to work under Christy at shoe and boot making business for two years. Christy to instruct and furnish board and good every day clothing and, at the end of two years, to furnish and give said White a full set of shoemaker tools."

This deed is a record of Samuel Christy's purchase of 80 acres in Range 9, Section 36, township 10, from Isaac Parnell for $150.00.
Samuel is included in the 1850 Federal Census for Decatur County Indiana. He died before the 1860 census was taken. In 1860 Polly is living with their son, Samuel Christy, Jr. Samuel and Polly Christy are buried in the South Park Cemetery of Greensburg, Indiana. A check of their records indicated they were buried there and that their graves had been moved from one section to another. We were not able to learn the exact location and there were no tombstones for them.
MARIAH CHRISTY (SAMUEL, JULIUS, SAMUEL (?)).
Mariah was born C. 1806. She married William W. Bush on the 6th of October 1824 in Clark County Kentucky. William died in 1835. Mariah was living in Decatur County Indiana in 1860.
ELIZABETH CHRISTY (SAMUEL, JULIUS, SAMUEL (?))
Elizabeth Christy was born C. 1808 in Kentucky. She married John Hazelrigg, son of William and Sarah Knox Hazelrigg. They were married in Clark County Kentucky on the 28th of August 1826. Elizabeth and John were in Decatur County in the 1850 census.

Churchill G. (Probably his middle name was GIBBS) Christy
was born C. 1812 in Boone County Kentucky. He married Maria Cobb
in Greensburg, Indiana (Decatur County), on the 15th. May 1834. That
same year he purchased 80 acres of land in Decatur County (Deed Book D,
page 340). Their known children were:

wife, Catherine, was probably the daughter of Henry and Jane Porter.

Hiram Christy was born C. 1815 in Kentucky. He married Mary Ann Pritchard in Greensburg, Indiana (Decatur County) on the 22nd. of December 1834.

Milton Christy was born in Kentucky on the 19th. of May 1818. He married Lavina Vaughan in Boone County on the 9th. of January 1838. Lavina was a daughter of Abraham and Mary Weaver Vaughn. Abraham and Mary Vaughan migrated to Boone County Kentucky from Culpeper County Virginia in 1806. Mary's ancestors were a part of the 1717 migration to Germania Colony in Virginia from Germany.
Milton and Lavina Christy moved to Randolph County Missouri. Lavina died there on the 28th. of August 1876. Milton died the 22nd. of October 1893. They are buried in the Clifton Hill cemetery, Randolph County Missouri.
Their known children were:
LU ANN CHRISTY, born 20 Nov. 1840, in Kentucky, married a Thomson.
MORGAN CHRISTY, born 23 June 1843, in Missouri, married Sarah Frances
Turner the 12 February 1874, Randolph County. He died
2 March 1926 at Macon Missouri, Burial Hebron
cemetery.
MARY ELIZABETH CHRISTY, born 2 March 1847. She married Henry Sears
on the 31 October 1878.
JOHN FRANKLIN CHRISTY, born 6 July 1849. He married 1st. Mary Ryal and
2nd E. E. Johnson. He died the 14th. of September of
June 1853.
THOMAS V. CHRISTY, born the 8th. of September 1855
PERRY CHRISTY, born 2 April 1858, died 9 October 1867.
JEFFERSON DAVIS CHRISTY, born the 5 February 1861. He died the 7th of
April 1919.

LUCY ANN CHRISTY (SAMUEL, JULIUS, SAMUEL (?))
Lucy Ann Christy was born in Kentucky C. 1820. She married William D. Eubank in Greensburg, Indiana on the 12th. of September 1837. They were in the Federal Census in 1850 in Decatur County Indiana.
MARY CHRISTY (SAMUEL, JULIUS, SAMUEL (?))
Mary Christy was born C. 1825 in Greensburg, Indiana. She married Uriah Roberts there, on the 8th. of November 1849. Mary and Uriah migrated to Davis County Iowa.
SAMUEL CHRISTY, JR. (SAMUEL, JULIUS, SAMUEL (?))
Samuel Christy, Jr. was born in Greensburg, Indiana on
the 17th of August 1827. He married Elizabeth Freeman on the 17th
of may 1849, in Greensburg. They had one daughter, ALICE CHRISTY,
born in 1850. Elizabeth was a daughter of Fleming and Elizabeth Freeman.
She died the 14th. of December 1856. Samuel, Jr. married secondly
Margaret Lovett. They were married in Greensburg on the 29th. of
January 1857. Samuel Jr. and Margaret had one known child, FRANK
M. CHRISTY.
Samuel Christy, Jr. after a short career as a school
teacher became a banker. He died in Greensburg the 20th. of December
1894. He is buried in the South Park cemetery, Greensburg, Indiana.
WILLIAM T. CHRISTY (SAMUEL, JULIUS, SAMUEL (?))
William T. Christy was born the 6th. of September 1829 in Greensburg, Indiana. He married Susan Israel on the 12th. of February 1852, in Greensburg. He died the 24th of January 1905 in Greensburg.
MARTHA JANE CHRISTY (SAMUEL, JULIUS, SAMUEL (?))
Martha Jane Christy was Samuel and Polly's youngest child.
She was born in Greensburg in May of 1831. She married Joseph B.
Layton, in Greensburg, on the 8th. of July 1852. Martha Jane was
still living in Greensburg in 1900.
