William David Stockton and his wife Emily Ellen (Wingfield). William was born on July 28, 1849 in Tishomingo County, Mississippi and died on November 20, 1921 in Hempstead County, Arkansas. He was the son of Elijah Winchester Stockton and Martha Jane (Gracy) Stockton. Emily Ellen Wingfield was born on November 24, 1854 in Arkansas, possibly Clark County. She died on August 12, 1919 in Arkansas. She was the daughter of William Marchbanks Wingfield and Malinda Caroline (Ward) Wingfield. Both William David and Emily Ellen Stockton are buried in Providence Cemetery, Nevada County, Arkansas. The young boy standing behind is William "Willie" Stevens, a grandson of William and Emily. The photograph seems to have been taken about 1905.
