Lutitia Elbe Melson was born April 4, 1873 in Nevada County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Leander Elmore Melson and Mary Ellen (Wingfield) Melson. Lutitia married Eugene Ernest Hudspeth in Hempstead County, Arkansas on August 2, 1891. She died Feb 25, 1904 and is buried at Ebenezer Cemetery, Hempstead County, Arkansas
