Levina Elizabeth Hodge was born February 1, 1840 in Tennessee. She was the daughter of Mr. Hodge and Levina (Spann) Hodge. (Mr. Hodge was full-blood Cherokee.) Levina E. Hodge married Leonard Calvin Nix in 1856 possibly in Tennessee. They were the parents of Sarah L. and Rena Jane Nix. Leonard Calvin Nix died October 6, 1862. Levina Elizabeth married Asa Hiram Hill on January 1, 1865 in Pulaski Co., Arkansas. They were the parents of Henry Josiah Hill, H. A. Hill, and Asa Bertrand Hill. Levina Hill died on March 4, 1912 in Grant County, Arkansas and is buried next to her son, Asa Bertrand Hill, at Bethel (Cane Creek) Cemetery in Grant County, Arkansas.
