Marguerite Jewell Porter Chisolm was born on July 4, 1913 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She is the daughter of Mathew Tolbert Porter and Mary Susie (Wingfield) Porter. On September 19, 1937 she married Howard Thomas Chisolm in Dallas, Texas.
