Dear Annie, Lillie & family
I received your most welcome letter a week or so ago was glad to hear from you all once more This leaves all well as could be expected your gran pa & ma keep up all the time but are very feeble
I had a letter from Mary and Edith a day or so ago they were all well except Mary she was having the chills Edith writes such nice sweet letters and a beautiful hand we have a fine garden and corn patch have a good many chickens how I wish I could see you all do wish I could come to see you all and go to see Mary
Well Annie I got up some subscribers to a little paper called Home folks the editor is a widow and also a criple was raised in Holly Springs I sent 20 names at 10 cts - which was $2.00 I sent ten cents for my self and 10 cts for you and you will get the paper a whole year I know you will like it it is for Lillie & Lizzie too I want Lillie or Lizzie to get up some subscribers for it they can get a nice premium for it for twenty subscribers I will get a silk waist and a patern any subscriber can get any pattern any size for five cts. it is a real nice little paper I sent it to Mary last year you will get your first number about the 20 of June
Well Annie when you write you or Lillie tell me if you have got it
Lillie I want you & Lizzie to write to your Antie often well Annie I have got me a real nice fellow he is very good looking and is just as smart as he can be what do you all think of it? All join me in love to you all
Well as is is getting late I will close write soon to your Antie you will get the paper untill next may get it once a month I had a nice sweet letter fom Walter one day this week he is still in Louisville Ky have not heard from Oscar in too weeks he is still in Memphis both were well I have had too long letters from my fellow this week one letter was 16 pages the other 8 pages long also a book and several clipings from papers pieces he wrote himself he is a lumber inspecter he is at Earl Ark at this time so good night
