The Lucas Line

Much of my information on the Lucas line comes from the prior research done by H.F. Ellithorpe and published about 1976. I have continued with my mother's research and am still looking for any information on George Lucas and his early life. I may have discovered the name and marriage date of his first wife. This isn't verified yet but I have somewhere to search at least.

Any Lucas cousins out there please contact me to update information on your lines. If you can add anything to this information please contact me at [email protected]

Red letters indicate I am still searching for additional information. Of course if you have additional information on other family members I will be happy to hear about that too.

Blue letters indicate direct line.

He was of English descent. Cager, Catherine, and their four children came to Kansas from Franklin County, Indiana in the spring of 1880. They traveled by train to Fort Scott, Kansas and walked to Uniontown, approximately 15 miles west of Fort Scott, and a short distance north of Uniontown, to the home of Cager's sister, Cynthia Ann, and her husband James Hardy. The two older children walked and the younger ones were carried by their parents.

Later they walked to the home of Lewis K. Davis, Cager's half-brother, who lived four miles west of Mapleton, Kansas on the NW 1/4 of Section 25, T 23 S, R 22 E, Bourbon County, Kansas.
