Discussion

Surry County records from the period 1715 to 1751 contain references to James Anderson (see Descendants of Thomas Anderson) James owned the Arnols estate in the extreme western tip of Surry County along the north bank of the Blackwater River and left it to his son William who added to it. Inghumbred Anderson also lived in 18th century colonial Surry County and left a family that I have not yet evaluated.
