Discussion

This patent was probably obtained by the elder John Anderson of Augusta County while he was still a resident of Pennsylvania, and is the origin of his sons moves into central Virginia. This is a bit of speculation and we must consider if the son John is older than we think, it may be John, Jr.

Nathaniel was from the Lawrence Anderson family of Essex County.
