This is not so, they were two different couples. In addition this has caused many researchers to cross link these two distinct families. Mary and Mary Ann (Marianne) were cousins. Nathan was from a south side Anderson family and Nathaniel from a north side Anderson family.

Discussion
Chesterfield County was settled by two main branches of Andersons. The descendants of Henry Anderson a son of Reynard Anderson and by the family of Jordan Anderson a grandson of Thomas Anderson. In addition a few of the York River Watershed children wandered across the border for marriages and as the population of Richmond City and vicinity grew additional families populated the area.
