de Hart, Evermonde -
Evremonde de Hart, another son of Uriah, enlisted in the U.S. Army at
the age of 21 years and 11 months in November, 1898, at Camden, New Jersey.
He eventually became a sergeant of Company L, 15th Infantry. He was shipped
to Alabama and
later tot he Philippines. He was killed while attacking the insurgents in
the Philippines at Luzon on September, 17, 1901. The military records note
"honest and faithful" service by his first lieutenant. By November, 1901,
his body was buried at Atlantic City Cemetery. He rests next to his father
Uriah.1
