DEHART SLAYTON, Goldie, 70, of Colorado Springs died Tuesday at her home. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Slayton had been a clerk for Hibbard and Company for several years. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jack Stephenson officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, 1000 S. 26th St.
Mrs. Slayton was born May 26, 1920, in Topeka, Kan., to Prentis C. and Lulu Ellen (Trimble) DeHart. She had lived in Colorado Springs since 1945. Mrs. Slayton was a member of Colorado City Rebekkah Lodge 89, where she was a past noble grand, and a member of the Quilters.
She was married Oct. 15, 1938, in Topeka, to Clare F. Slayton, who survives. She also is survived by a daughter, Sandra K. Orman of Widefield; a sister, Donis Hanrahan of Topeka; four brothers, Harold and Donald DeHart, both of Topeka, Vernon DeHart of Independence, Mo., and Herman DeHart of Denver; and two grandchildren.
