records, family histories that have been written, cemetery records.
Now this information is not proven:
Robert Hopkins born 24 Jun 1808 in the son of John Hopkins and Mary
Hindman.
Harriet Coffey born 16 Apr. 1813 is the daughter of Ananias Coffey and
Jane Hindman.
This makes Robert Hopkins and Harriet first cousins. I got this
information from a Coffey researcher. As I said, I have not proven this
information as of yet. If you or anybody that visits the Hopkins Web
Page can help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it. Please
include my E-mail address.
If there is any other information you need please let me know.

>Thank You,
In the Hopkins Bible Records it states that William Houston Hopkins died in
his teens or early twenties, and I assumed this to be true until I received
a letter from a man in Pope Co., IL stating that William Houston Hopkins was
his great grandfather. He thoroughly convinced me by sending proof. What
happened was that the Civil War was raging and William Houston Hopkins chose
to join the Union side and was disowned by his family.William H. Hopkins and
his wife, Samantha Elizabeth Rogers came to Pope Co., IL about 1869-70 and
settled near Rock. William Houston and Samantha Elizabeth Rogers Hopkins had
three children: William Tecumseh Sherman Hopkins b June 13, 1865; Mary Jane
b about 1863 who married Davis Lauderdale; and Floretta Tennessee b about
1869, never married.
May 28, 1889, William T.S. Hopkins committed suicide. I have the
coronor's report naming Eli Hugh and Mary Jane Hopkins as parents.

Hi, do you happen to know about an Elizabeth Hopkins who lived in Lexington,
Ky, but later married a George Lavender White who lived in Calloway, Co.,
Ky. They had their children there. Elizabeth was born in 1848 in Illinois,
I think and George L. was born in Calloway Co.? in1848. They had 7
children, Lucious Orlander White, married Annie America Castleberry, my
grandmother and grandfather. Dell married Flanders Calloway, Cora married
Bud Louder, Will married Myrtle Fisher, Olive married Ed Parsons, Tazwell
married Mamie Una Head and Laddis married Bert Smith. Elizabeth Hopkins
died in Rockwall, Rockwall Co., Texas in 1943 and is buried in the Rockwall
Cemetery. George L. died in Rockwall in February 22, 1903 and is buried in
the Parker Cemetery in Rockwall. From somewhere I got Elizabeth's father as
S. T. Hopkins and a death date of September 10, 1899. I don't know where I
got this, but if there is any way you can have something on this line of
Hopkins in Calloway Co., Ky. please help me. Thank you for listening.
Shirley
