Seek information on the Abraham K. and Jemima H. (DOW) HUNSICKER family who were living at Osage City, Osage Co., Kansas in 1880 and 1900.  Abraham was born September 1831 in Pennsylvania and Jemima was born in 1847 in Jo Daviess Co., Illinois, the daughter of William and Harriet (JOHNSON) DOW.  Abraham and Jemima were married ca 1868, probably in Cedar Co., Iowa..  Their children, all born in Cedar Co.:  John W., born ca 1868; Orin, born 1869; and Cora A.,
born ca 1875.

In the 1880 census, the family was living on Main Street, Osage City, and Abraham was employed as a stone mason.  In 1900, the family lived at 216 6th Street and Abraham was a "peddlar of extracts".  Cora may have later married a William RANSOM.   Have not been able to locate the family after 1900.

Any connections out there?  Thanks, Allen Johnson [email protected]

THE BATTLE OF BLACK JACK

Hunsaker, Chester E., 1419

I have actually discovered that his information was the information my Uncle Abraham Hunsicker and my dad, Elwood Tyson Hunsicker tried to find in Canada and Ohio in the 1970's. They were not successful, but now I have them. They ended up in Osage City, Osage Co., Kansas. the present Hunsicker family will be thrilled to connect to those.

Gen 2-3

Elizabeth H. Godshalk had an additional daughter Margaret Bergey.

Jacob Godshalk had two more daughters: Magdalena and Barbara.

Jacob D. Hunsicker had an additional son Martin Kolb Hunsicker.

I checked the Gen 1 this afternoon and that correction has been made. He listed Bishop Henry Hunsicker b.1752 d.1836 as the compiler of the 1911 Hunsicker Book when it was actually Henry A. Hunsicker, a grandson of Bishop Henry.

BTW, I am related to Valentine Hunsicker through three of his children; Isaac through my grandfather John Haney Hunsicker, and Sarah and Henry through my grandmother Helena Allebach Cassel.
