HUNSUCKER FAMILY CEMETERY Moore Co. NC This cemetery is located about 100 yards off Hwy. #22 at the junction of Hwy #1470 near the Hight Falls Town Limits in the front yard of a mr. Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy when building his house covered over all the grave stones with dirt but he could remember that one of the stones was that of a Nelson Hunsucker and one was that of Fry. the writer was told that this graveyard had been known as the old Hunsucker burying ground for as long as anyone could remember and that there was a large number of graves marked with field stones and no inscriptions. It is the writers belief that this is the old William and Elizabeth Hunsucker graveyard who in the census of 1850 was 46 years old and listed a son, Nelson at the age of 17 years. Excerpt from the book: Moore Co. Cemeteries by Anthony E. Parker __________________________________________________________ It is my opinion that probably the lost Hunsucker's of my direct line family are in this cemetery as well........Patsy has looked for too many years without a clue as to where these ancestor's are buried.
