Will of :

To wife Plantation purchased of ZERRABABLE GASKILL; also piece of land purchased of JOSEPH SHINN on south side of Indian Run, together with dwelling I now live in purchased of BERIAH TAYLOR; also grist mill with lot of land; during her life the same to go to my daughter ELIZABETH SHINN, during her life, then to her issue (except WASHINGTON SHINN) but if she has no other child but him, then the same to him.

To ABRAHAM JONES (son of brother Samuel) 150 pounds when 21.

To BENJAMIN BUTTEWORTH land

To ANN BAXTER land.

To daughter ELIZABETH SHINN land also rents from small house near grist mill purchased of ZERAUBABEL GASKILL, during her life and until her son WASHINGTON SHINN is of age; If said daughter dies without issue, above to be divided between children of brother SAMUEL JONES....

Grand son WASHINGTON SHINN land.

Son-in-law WILLIAM SHINN shares in Lock Co.

Daughter Elizabeth SHINN residue

Executors wife, ELIZABETH, Son-in-law WILLIAM SHINN and brother Samuel JONES

Witnesses JOSEPH GASKILL, JOHN BISHOP and HUDSON BURR. Codicil added 1 29 1799 revokers Executorship of William SHINN.

BERIAH TAYLOR was still in Northampton Township Burlington County in 1785, as he made the Inventory on the Estate of JOHN LAME. NJA 35:240 date of Will 5 9 1785, Inventory made by JOHN GOLDY and BERIAH TAYLOR.

Mary SHREVE (sister of AMY SHREVE) married John BUDD. In her will she mentions her sister's four children (NJA 37:57) 1793 March 22, BUDD MARY, SR, of New Hanover, Burlington Co. Will of. This is in full under # page 430

Remainder and residue to be equally divided between my sister's four children: SAMUEL GASKILL, (for used of his youngest children, KITTY and PHEOBE.) : CALEB GASKILL; REBECCA REEVES and KESIAH TAYLOR.

BERIAH TAYLOR was a Lieutenant resigned August 17, 1813 from the Pennsylvania Militia under Captain. JOHN MC CLEAN'S Company.

The six oldest children were born about 5 miles from Brownsville, Washington County, PA on the banks of the Monongahela River at Greenfield. In 1841 they removed to Pickaway County, Ohio where the two youngest children were born.
