No 62, Extract 2

Pursuant to Genl Order No. 5 dated Hd. Qts. Army of Arkansas, Little Rock, Ark, January 18th 1864 whereby Jed Lake, Lt. Col. 27th Iowa I.V. having been tried and found guilty upon various charges and specifications before a General Court Martial, convened at Little Rock and sentenced as follows:

And therefore sentence him the said Lt. Col. Jed Lake 27th Iowa I.V. to be severely reprimanded in the presence of the officers of his Regiment by the commanding Officer of the Division, to be suspended from Rank and Pay for the period of three months.

Which finding and sentence was by said Genl Order No. 5, approved and ordered to be duly executed, the said Jed Lake, Lt. Col 27th Iowa I. V. is therefore suspended from rank and pay for a period of three months from this date. The remainder of the sentence will be carried into execution at some future date.
