"Trout Lake"
What shall we name the new county? Let everybody get busy and think up a name. Don't make it to long and give a reason for the name. And Indian name or man of local historical interest would be good. "Joslyn County" has been suggested, thus honoring the first orchardist in this end of the proposed new county. His orchard was where the old Byrkett place is and where he built his home in 1855. A year later the Indians burned his buildings, destroyed his orchard and run off his cattle, while he, with his family, sought refuge on the Oregon side. Let's hear from some one else on this matter.
