INDIANS TO RETAIN MEMALOOSE ISLAND

     Washington, June 17. - (WASHINGTON BUREAU OF THE JOURNAL) - The house Wednesday passed the McNary bill to reserve Memaloose Island, in the upper Columbia river, as a burial ground for the Indians after approving an amendment by Representative Sinnott, providing that the grave and monument of Victor Trevitt, should remain undisturbed.
