The pioneers began arriving about ten o'clock and spent the time in visiting with old time friends. The ladies in charge of the tables were Mesdames Foley, Foss Hawkes and Kingdon with younger assistants. The "50 year table" was more than full, the overflow being taken care of at another table. This table was made especially beautiful with its decoration of golden flowers. Many handsome flowers were in evidence among them some choice gladiolas sent from Portland.
The walls of the grange hail were made interesting with an array of pictures of old scenes and old time friends prepared under the supervision of Mrs. Bert Stranahan. In the afternoon a business session was held followed by a program. The old officer's held over and no election was necessary. Steps were taken to secure a marker for the unmarked graves of Nathaniel and Mary Coe. Talks were given by Judge Wilson and Mrs. Lulu D. Crandall and reminiscences by other pioneers.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Bartmess had for many years provided the musical program for the pioneers, the death of Mrs. Bartmess the day before the meeting left the Society unprepared, but Fred Fisher, assisted by Mrs. Clara Moody at the piano, led in a community song service, while a piano solo by Mildred Arneson and a vocal solo by Marjorie Miller filled out the program.
