POWER AT DAM
Between five and six hundred men are now at work at the
dam and power plant sites. The river bed is now being prepared by a large
force for the big fill, the water having been diverted through a specially
constructed channel for a distance of 600 feet. By utilizing this flume power
is being generated for electric lights and motors.
There are no new cases of small pox, but two or three
of the men became ill from the effects of vaccination. Tuesday a man had
his arm pulled out of its socket and was otherwise badly crippled.
