CONSOLIDATION OF BINGEN AND WHITE SALMON SUGGESTED BY GOLDENDALE MAN
Attorney Zola Brooks Replies Lawyers Would Starve to Death if Towns Got Together

W.F. Byars, postmaster of Goldendale, in speaking to the members of the White Salmon Chamber of Commerce last Monday, spoke praisingly of the better appearance of White Salmon since the widening and leveling of the business street. "The town looks fine now," he said, "and, I see many improvements have been made during the last few years. The growth of White Salmon is noticeable. I would like to see the towns of Bingen and White Salmon get together. You could have a larger community here in the west end of the county than the county seat -- Goldendale."
Attorney and Zola Brooks, who was also present, remarked that he would hate to see the towns get together because the lawyers would starve to death.
