BUYS TROUT LAKE LAND
J.E. Reynolds Becomes Owner of Guler Property

     The following article concerning J.E. Reynolds, the well-known cattle buyer, is taken from the Arlington, Oregon, Independent;
     A deal was closed this week, whereby our local cattle buyer, J.E. Reynolds became the owner of the Guler property at Trout Lake, Washington. This includes the hotel and other buildings at the Summer Resort, which adds about 110 acres to Mr. Reynolds' already large holdings in that country. While the consideration is not given out it is understood that Mr. Reynolds paid in the neighborhood of $20,000 for this tract and will cut the same up into small tracts and sell it during the coming summer. He expects to employ a large force of men on the place and do considerable clearing. Mr. Reynolds says it is almost assured that they will have a railroad into this country this summer, and if it does, they will have no trouble in disposing of a considerable amount of his lands, which are all irrigated and cleared.
     Trout Lake is situated about 50 miles east of Goldendale, in Klickitat county, and about 13 miles from the base of Mt. Adams. It is said to be one of the most beautiful and picturesque valleys in the whole of the state of Washington.
