BLOCKHOUSE IS NOW SOLD
T.A. Hooker Disposes of Interest to Seattle Nurse, Reported This Week
The Blockhouse, for several years owned by T.A. Hooker,
was recently sold to S.E. Miller, a nurse of Yakima and Seattle, the announcement
states this week.
The new owner has definite plans for enlarging the grounds
and improving the holdings there. The grounds will be improved to make them
one of the outstanding recreational sites in the entire vicinity. An up-to
date camp ground with the accompanying facilities for convenience and comfort
is also on the program of the improvements.
The main building, used by the Hooker family as a residence
and for the caring of patients, will be improved by the new tenant and will
be equipped in a modern fashion to care for practically all cases. Baths
and packs will be a continued feature, the announcement stated.
A farewell dance and party is scheduled at the Blockhouse
pavilion Saturday evening, March 30. Both Mr. and Mrs. Hooker will be present
and friends from the entire locality will gather at the last dance to be
presented under the Hooker management.
